Welcome to CalCrunch Free and CalCrunch+, developed and published by Banana Logic, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of our apps and website. By installing or using CalCrunch Free or CalCrunch+, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree with these Terms, you may not use the app.

1. General Information

CalCrunch is a personal nutrition and calorie-tracking tool designed to help users monitor daily food intake.

It is not a medical device and should not be used for diagnosis, treatment, or health decisions that require professional guidance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.

If you are under 18, you should only use the app with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Health Disclaimer

CalCrunch is for informational and educational purposes only.

We are not responsible for:

  • Any health outcomes based on food logging
  • Nutrition choices made using the app
  • Decisions made from data presented in the app

Always consult a doctor, dietitian, or healthcare professional before making dietary or health changes.

4. Data & Privacy

Your data stays on your device unless you choose to export it or share it.

We do not collect, store, or transmit user data to our own servers.

The only third-party data handling occurs in the ad-supported version, which uses Google AdMob.

5. Apple HealthKit Usage

If you enable HealthKit integration, CalCrunch may read or write:

  • Weight
  • Calories
  • Macronutrient data

Health data:

  • Never leaves your device
  • Is never used for advertising or analytics
  • Is not shared with any third parties

You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings.

6. Advertising (CalCrunch Free Only)

CalCrunch Free uses Google AdMob to show ads.

CalCrunch+ contains no ads and does not include the AdMob SDK.

By using the free version, you understand that Google may collect:

  • Device identifiers (IDFA)
  • Approximate location
  • Ad interaction metrics

You may revoke ad-tracking permissions in iOS under

Settings → Privacy → Tracking.

7. Intellectual Property

All content in CalCrunch—including the app design, code, logo, graphics, icons, and written text—is property of Banana Logic, LLC.

You agree not to:

  • Copy or redistribute the app
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app
  • Use our assets for commercial purposes without written permission

8. License to Use the App

We grant you a non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use CalCrunch for personal, non-commercial purposes.

We reserve the right to revoke access to the app if you:

  • Tamper with the app
  • Attempt to bypass ads or monetization mechanisms
  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in harmful or abusive behavior toward our support team

9. Payments & Refunds (CalCrunch+)

CalCrunch+ is a one-time purchase.

Apple manages all payment processing and refund requests.

We do not handle or store billing information.

10. App Availability & Updates

We strive to maintain uptime and availability, but we cannot guarantee:

  • The app will always function without interruptions
  • The app will be free of bugs or errors
  • Future updates will maintain backward compatibility

We may update, modify, or discontinue the app at any time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Banana Logic, LLC is not liable for:

  • Loss of data
  • Inaccurate nutritional information
  • Any damages arising from use or inability to use the app
  • Health decisions made using app data
  • Device issues, battery drain, or data loss

You use the app at your own risk.
