Frequently Asked Questions
1. What’s the difference between CalCrunch Free and CalCrunch+?
- CalCrunch Free includes Google AdMob ads and has all core functionality.
- CalCrunch+ is the paid version with:
- No ads
- Identical features otherwise
- Lifetime access (no subscription)
2. What data does the app store?
Your data — foods, recipes, favorites, settings, daily logs, and weight entries — is stored locally on your device only.
We do not have access to it.

3. Does the app connect to Apple Health?
Yes. If you choose to enable it, CalCrunch may read/write:
- Weight
- Dietary energy
- Macronutrient data
HealthKit data never leaves your device.
4. How do I report a bug?
Send us an email with the following information:
- Which version of the app you’re using (Free or Plus)
- Your device model (iPhone/iPad)
- iOS version
- Steps to reproduce the issue
- Screenshots if possible

Troubleshooting
App feels slow after installing
The first launch after a fresh install or update can be slower while the app initializes data. This is normal and resolves after a few seconds.
Apple Health isn’t syncing
Check:
- Settings → Privacy → Health → CalCrunch
- Ensure permissions are enabled
- Restart the app after adjusting permissions
Ads are appearing even though I purchased CalCrunch+
Make sure you installed CalCrunch+, not CalCrunch Free.
The icons and titles differ on the App Store.
If you believe there is an error, email us.
The app won’t open / crashes on launch
Try:
- Force-close the app
- Restart your device
- Ensure you’re on the latest version via the App Store
If it persists, send us crash details (if prompted) and email support.
